Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Job Responsibilities
Answer all incoming telephone calls to campus and direct them to the appropriate department. Incumbent will monitor intrusion detection and fire surveillance system as well as notify the Monroe County 911 Center for emergency response as needed. The Dispatcher will also maintain contact with university departments for after hour emergency maintenance requests, maintain radio communications with on-duty security officers and operate a multi-line telephone system, complete data entry daily for online reporting systems, perform credit/debit card transactions, monitor on campus shuttle and prepare statistical ride data for the Director, assist with department lost and found, use the RAVE Alert System to send out campus wide notifications and other clerical tasks/duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma
Competencies / Skills
Must have excellent communication skills, experience with Microsoft Windows based programs, Microsoft Office. Ability to multi-task and remain focused during emergencies.
Supervision of Employees
Assist the Student Shuttle Driver Supervisor with organizing employment paperwork.
