Thales Defense & Security, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Production Planning & Scheduling in Clarksburg, Maryland. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations. This role is 100% on-site.



Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated planning and scheduling strategies across all programs.
  • Drive demand planning, capacity planning, and master scheduling in alignment with customer requirements, program forecasts, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Partners with Production, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Procurement to ensure schedule integrity, on-time delivery, and optimal resource utilization.
  • Implement planning systems, KPIs, and continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with business leads, project leads and engineering management to resolve product development issues, coordinating resources, and managing design activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includes operating budgets, workforce planning, interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance appraisals, rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must be able to create a positive environment and work with staff to develop and achieve strategic plan objectives. High performance feedback and active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities. Must be able to uphold, support and educate employees on the Thales Code of Ethics. By example sets the standards that embody the TDSI Core Value & Thales Leadership Model. Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.



Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required/Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance upon hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years in supply chain leadership with strong experience in planning/scheduling, SAP expertise preferred.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP).
  • 5+ years of functional management in manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences in pursuit of common objectives.
  • Meet tight timelines. Adapt bids across multiple design/build prime and subcontract structures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and customers.
  • Ability to operate at a high ethical standard of practice including compliance with all company procedures.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others in an organization that supports pull through technologies from other countries within the Thales organization.
  • Proficiency in Excel & Other Microsoft Office tools.

The annualized pay range for this role is $164,426.40 - 210,100.40 along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 15%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
