As a Commercial Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the Business Unit FP&A team and will have primary responsibility for administering customer pricing and contracts accurately, proactively analyzing data to provide actionable insights into product selling prices and identifying opportunities to enhance customer and product line profitability.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop, revise, and implement pricing models for new and existing customers, markets, and products , and ensure sales orders contain proper customer pricing through the building and maintenance of pricing tables

  • Conduct financial analyses and special project work to support commercial decisions, largely the preparation of margin and cost analyses on customer deals, including current margins, new products, and capex analyses

  • Follow customer contracts, track contractual requirements, validate system pricing, and communicate financial impacts, including Controllership to manage accruals

  • Proactively engaging with the sales team to find options and solutions while maintaining or improving margins

  • Calculate and submit special billings and credits to customers, such as reconciliations and contractually required payments

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop customer and market segmentation

  • Proactively analyze sales and cost data and monitor market and pricing trends to provide insights and recommendations to improve customer and product line profitability

  • Provide a key linkage between Sales and Finance to ensure that pricing tactics and policies align with financial performance goals

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and updates on KPI performance to division management as needed

  • Provide pricing forecast, net sales forecast, and what-if scenario modeling to aid the financial Planning and Forecasting processes

  • Assist with / coordinate Internal Audit and SOX requirements in the division

  • Develop and implement approaches and templates to improve recurring processes, reports, and analytics

This a flexible hybrid position located in our Charlotte, NC office location.

  • Proven experience in data analysis and financial modeling

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, Business Intelligence, SQL, Pricing Analytics)

  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Financial and business acumen to understand competitive landscape and viability of different pricing strategies

  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional team

  • Four-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. MBA, CPP preferred

  • Relevant experience working in financial analysis and data analytic roles that marry analytical acumen with commercial insights.

Compensation:

This is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs. The annual base salary ranges are:

Financial Analyst I is from $64,880 to $72,990.

Financial Analyst II is from $84,640 to $95,220.

Financial Analyst III is from $104,720 to $117,810, plus an annual target bonus of 7.5% of the base salary.

Senior Financial Analyst is from $118,880 to $133,740, plus an annual target bonus of 7.5% of the base salary.
