Responsibilities: - Ensures required raw materials are available as needed and prepares them for usage. - Assists in threading the laminator. - Prepares finished good tags. - Adjust motors to required speeds. - Tucks foam under platform, turns wind-up unit on until required yardage is achieved. Stops unit, cuts foam & removes rolls repetitively. - Seals finished goods in plastic with hot iron and applies labels, when required. - Keeps area clean, organized and operational. - Monitors and ensures correctness of process & product specifications. - Must be able to read, understand and comply with plant and company policies and procedures, such as S.O.P., S.E.P., ETC. which are all written in English. - Able to perform basic arithmetic, including decimals and fractions. - Keep your area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5s standards. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Communication with supervisor when non-conforming product. - Stops production to correct quality problems. - The indoor temperature is extreme hot on Summer months due the process itself - Environmental aspect and impact awareness. - Over 6 lb. lifting rolls - Pull and Push Rolls using body weight (No lifting Rolls) - Mentor new employees - Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process Qualifiations: - Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. - Experience: - Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not required. - Experience with laminators or similar equipment is an advantage. - Technical Skills: - Basic mechanical skills to assist in threading the laminator and adjusting motors. - Ability to read and understand product specifications and ensure compliance. - Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including decimals and fractions. - Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and move rolls over 6 lbs, using body weight to push and pull rolls as needed. - Ability to work in extreme hot conditions, especially during summer months. - Capability to stand, move, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. - Attention to Detail: - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing raw materials, finished good tags, and sealing finished goods. - Vigilance in monitoring and correcting quality issues during production. - Communication Skills: - Ability to read, understand, and comply with plant and company policies, procedures, and documentation, all written in English. - Effective communication skills to report non-conforming products and participate in corrective/preventive actions. - Organizational Skills: - Maintain a clean, organized, and operational work area, adhering to 5S standards throughout the shift. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Teamwork and Leadership: - Willingness to mentor new employees and share knowledge to ensure consistent quality and process adherence. - Collaborative attitude to work effectively with team members and supervisors. - Problem-Solving: - Ability to stop production to correct quality problems and ensure products meet specifications. - Awareness of environmental aspects and impacts related to the process, and ability to act accordingly. - Work Ethic: - Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. - Willingness to perform other duties as assigned, with a proactive approach to improving processes and outcomes. |
