Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Planner/ Buyer to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical, problem resolution, organizational, program management and leadership abilities.

OR

  • Associate's Degree in related field and 5 years of relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical, problem resolution, organizational, program management and leadership abilities.
    • In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience may be accepted.

As a Planner/ Buyer, you will:

  • Analyze material requirements for production and development programs assigned.
  • Generate production and development schedules for several functional areas within department.
  • Monitor progress against completion dates and take appropriate action to ensure on time completion of Moog commitments to customer.
  • Oversee full program lifecycles, schedule, monitor, and expedite production, maintaining autonomy and managing multiple programs to meet Moog's deliverables.
  • Provide delivery information to Master Scheduling based on lead time computations.
  • Monitor flow of parts and complete the kits pulls to A&T from internal stockroom.
  • Manage internal inventory including monitor stock levels, request replenishments from customers, and ensure traceability of all parts.
  • Prepare Excel Spreadsheets and use Microsoft Project to track progress.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide a workable production schedule and help correct work center load imbalances.
  • Influence all levels of employees to implement a successful program plan.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for receiving, issuing, and tracking parts to and from technicians.
  • Create and manage work orders, ensuring an accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) is attached, as well as any additional documentation required.
  • Lead customer-facing materials meetings which include discussing inventory levels, usage rates, scrap issues, and future planning.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly planning discussions.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00-$85,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
