As a Quality Control Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • Review and approve QA document supplied by vendors. Ability to understand SAP Bill of Materials, relevant materials certifications and specifications.
  • Drives quality culture to their plant. If ever you see anyone around you performing an unsafe act or working in an unsafe condition, immediately Stop Work and report to your lead/supervisor/manager.
  • Works with Baker Hughes management system databases and systems (SAP, BHOS, LIMS etc)
  • Inspecting incoming parts, Work in process assemblies, subassemblies and test reports / certifications to drawings and specifications. Distributes all quality records and documents as required.
  • Using mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, Go/No-Go Functional gauges, precision pin and ring gauges, scales, tapes, straight-edges, inspection set-up, etc..) along with advanced inspection equipment.
  • Initiating non-conformance reports (NCR) on all nonconforming parts and assemblies. Ensure that parts meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Managing calibration records and management of inspection tool, Pressure transducers, Thermocouples as well as any other lab asset required to perform inspection.
  • Performing Lab system calibration using master pressure gauge and process.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and leads initiatives to implement improvements.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Have an Associate Degree in a related discipline OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
  • Have 5 years of minimum experience in mechanical Inspection using inspection tools.
  • Have proven record and certification per ISO requirements.
  • Have Knowledge of MRP system, Calibration system like Indysoft.
  • To be Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook
  • To be able to follow safety protocols.
