Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
The University of Missouri's Baseball Program is seeking an Assistant Coach. Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations. Demonstrating the ability to relate to and motivate student-athletes and to work with a variety of university staff, alumni, and the outside community. Assisting with the development in the overall student-athlete experience by mentoring student-athletes including evaluating their performance in practice and competition while providing leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies as required, but including individual and small group film and training sessions. Managing on field coaching duties to include technical development and functional training sessions. Implementing recruiting strategy, statistical analysis of prospective student-athlete data and assisting in off campus recruiting and evaluation of potential student-athletes. Participating in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent tendencies and assisting in designing scouting reports and match strategies. Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the assigned sport administrator or Director of Athletics. Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a NCAA Division I Baseball Program is preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range
