Health & Safety Manager, 100% Remote

The Health & Safety Manager provides strategic, proactive safety leadership and support to their direct reports and their division. They will establish a 1:1 relationship with Divisional Presidents, Regional Leaders, Franchise Owners as well as to key prospects and clients. Drive a robust Health & Safety Culture throughout the organization, helping to secure new clients and retain existing clients by doing things such as providing oversight within their team, reviewing market level data, audits, and assisting in the development and enhancement of Employbridge health & safety programs.

Your Role & Responsibilities




  • Act as a resource to branches and clients by providing professional safety guidance with the objective of adding value to the organization, through standardization.


  • Accountable for driving the Safety Culture within their assigned region, ensuring leaders are aware of and are adopting EB's safety prevention programs.


  • Define, develop, install, and drive adoption of an enterprise-wide safety culture through the engagement of field colleagues, clients, and associates.


  • Develop health & safety training content along with new ways to deploy internally and externally.


  • Discover and create content that is needed by clients, associates, and our internal teams.


  • Ability to re-tool, create and execute new trainings for clients, industries, internal teams.


  • Support the creation of standard work, work instructions and best practices for safety.


  • Plan, develop and execute health and safety programs, policies, and services as it pertains to supporting EB's Clients across multiple industries.


  • Promote and drive the adoption of the Safety Improvement Program enterprise wide.


  • Support and nurture new and existing client relationships throughout the life cycle of the client.


  • Provide tactical, proactive safety support to the business with the 1:1 relationship with Market Leaders, Franchise Owners as well as to our prospects and clients.


  • Respond to and support the field on OSHA requests and investigations, as well as supporting negotiations with OSHA (state specific).


  • Accident & illness prevention activities - analyze trends and recommend and lead proactive solutions.


  • Manage safety service requests by area of responsibility, coordinate with local operational and field health and safety teams.


  • Support business development through providing client training support and acting as an educational resource.


  • Act as a resource to the field to support safety initiatives.


  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current state and federal safety regulations (such as: NIOSH, OSHA, legal partners, supply chain Industry, etc.).


  • Participate in professional health & safety networking groups. Through these interactions identify, document, and share best practices.


  • Prioritize and perform client health & safety needs and actions with the support of local field teams.



Preferred Education & Experience




  • Bachelor's degree or 5 + years of work-related experience (or combination thereof) in the Health & Safety field


  • Staffing industry experience


  • OSHA (General Industry Standards) and Temporary Worker Initiative knowledge


  • Manufacturing / Warehousing / Transportation industry knowledge


  • The following credentials and certifications are preferred: CSP, ASP, GSP, OHST, or similar.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels up to and including the C-suite.


  • Proven ability to identify and influence key stakeholders and overcome objections to drive results.


  • Flexible and Solution Oriented - with a proven ability to continuously adapt, learn and adjust recommendations based on a client's request.


  • Growth mindset to add value in the sales process and retain and expand existing clients.


  • Ability to be autonomous and self-directed in action.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position in the US is $80,000 to $90,000 This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
