Data Architect

Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position):



  • Lead design and implementation of data architecture solutions for the Army Training Information System (ATIS).
  • Develop logical and physical data models for data warehousing, ETL processes, and real-time analytics.
  • Oversee data integration across ATIS and other Army systems.
  • Implement metadata management and data cataloging tools.
  • Ensure data compliance with DoD and RMF standards, including encryption and access control.
  • Monitor and optimize data pipelines to improve performance and reduce costs.



Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, and modeling.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, engineering, or related field.
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure data platforms.



Nice to Have:



  • Master's degree in a related field.
