Cyber Security Engineer

Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position):



  • Design, assess, and implement security controls in compliance with DoD RMF.
  • Conduct independent security assessments and manage POAMs.
  • Serve as RMF advisor and collaborate with ISSMs to maintain eMASS.
  • Perform IV&V testing and analyze findings to improve system compliance.
  • Lead risk assessments and security scans across Army systems.
  • Define and maintain cybersecurity standards and policies.
  • Guide incident response efforts and recommend improvements.
  • Implement security solutions such as encryption, antivirus systems, and remote access technologies.



Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • 6+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • IASAE II DoD Approved Baseline Certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP CE, CSSLP).
  • Active Secret or higher clearance.
  • Strong understanding of DoD RMF and the 8 domains of information security.
  • Proficiency in eMASS and RMF compliance documentation.



Nice to Have:



  • Master's degree in related field.
  • SAFe Agile Practitioner certification.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • Experience with AWS cloud security.
  • Presentation experience with senior military leadership.
