The successful applicant will provide ownership of and be performing work in FedRAMP or IL-5 type environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.

Cisco's Security and Trust Organization (STO) plays a central role in making Cisco trustworthy, transparent, and accountable in security, privacy, and data protection. We work with our Cisco teammates - especially within Corporate Security, Government Affairs, Talos, Communications, Supply Chain, and Legal - and with external partners to identify, understand, and respond to emerging security and industry trends. We collaborate with global customers, regulators, and industry leaders to influence critical emerging security standards and develop strategies to embed cybersecurity and data protection needs into our offerings, reducing customer friction and enabling sales.

Your ImpactThis role offers a unique opportunity to combine a deep understanding of physical and global security threats, expertise in intelligence analysis and writing, and strong interpersonal skills to help minimize risks to Cisco's executives and business. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst focused on protective intelligence and geopolitical risk analysis, you will:Monitor open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media, law enforcement reports, and proprietary intelligence platforms and feeds for threats against executives and Cisco writ large.Analyze and report on geopolitical, cyber, and physical threats and emerging security trends that may impact corporate leadership, company assets, or business operations.Produce and deliver pre-travel risk assessments and recommendations ahead of executive travel and perform active monitoring of intelligence feeds to mitigate potential travel disruptions and risks.Conduct security investigations into and maintain awareness of persons of interest (POIs) and potential hostile actors.Author and coordinate on analytic papers and presentations to enable Cisco leaders and stakeholders to effectively respond to emerging geopolitical and security trends, risks, policies, and opportunities.Assist in security planning for corporate events, shareholder meetings, and high-profile engagements.Contribute to the development of intelligence-driven security protocols and predictive threat modeling to minimize risk to Cisco's executives and global operations.You are passionate about geopolitics, cybersecurity, executive protection, and international policy. Your skills in research, writing, engaging with experts, applying analytical methodologies, and critical thinking are essential to your approach to topics and challenges. With a strong grasp of business and technology, you can work alongside senior technical leaders to capture and create compelling analysis. Furthermore, you are eager to actively participate in a top-tier technology organization and contribute to shaping Cisco's future direction.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in international relations, political science, intelligence studies, cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.5+ years of government or private sector experience in intelligence analysis or executive protection, particularly protective intelligence operations.Strong familiarly with and experience conducting research and using analytic standards, tradecraft, and intelligence methodologies.Excellent critical thinking, written and verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Intellectual curiosity and exceptional attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience within civilian or military intelligence or law enforcement agencies.Familiarity with protective intelligence, insider threat analysis, and security risk management.Basic understanding of cybersecurity operations, threats, and trends.Proficiency with current open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools provided by Ontic, Everbridge, Factal, Recorded Future, Flashpoint, or similar systems.Ability to draft clear and concise threat assessments and position papers on complex geopolitical, security, and/or policy issues.Experience briefing senior leadership.A global perspective with the ability to work across and engage individuals and teams from different geographies, cultures, and backgrounds.
