Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to support a high-profile federal government customer in the National Capital Region. The ideal candidate will lead the planning, design, and execution of secure, reliable, and scalable network and infrastructure solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of managing enterprise-wide infrastructure operations while aligning with mission-critical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead daily operations and strategic oversight of network infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and security meet agency SLAs and compliance standards.

  • Design and plan network communications systems to meet evolving agency needs.

  • Develop and maintain detailed network architecture schematics and system documentation.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for hardware and software upgrades, ensuring alignment with mission and budget requirements.

  • Guide the implementation of new technologies, tools, and infrastructure enhancements to improve system performance and scalability.

  • Oversee testing and validation of new network designs and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Monitor and manage network hardware to ensure optimal configurations and system health.

  • Provide technical leadership in areas such as routers, switches, firewalls, bridges, gateways, and other critical infrastructure components.

  • Advise stakeholders and users on hardware capabilities, limitations, and requirements.

  • Maintain deep expertise in current and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential benefit to agency operations.



Qualifications

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT-related field. 5 years additional equivalent experience and Highschool degree will also be acceptable.

Years of Experience:

  • 8 plus years with 5 or more years managing and operating cryptographic facilities.

Certification Requirements:

  • Rapid Response Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance, SCI Eligible

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in maintaining the operational status of a Tech Control facility
  • Knowledge of Tech Control equipment such as Switches, Encryption devices, Network Operation Consoles, and Circuits
  • Demonstrated knowledge and supervision of tech control employees in efforts similar in size and scope as referenced under this Call Order.
  • Oral and written communication experience with the highest levels of management
  • Must have knowledge in operating and maintaining Tier 2 Tech Control Helpdesk functions and DISAC 310-175-9.
  • Can provide technical directions and supervision, in coordinating, restoring and reporting functions necessary for effective maintenance of transmission paths and facilities.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
