About the Opportunity:

Join a skilled maintenance team at a $65M aerospace forging facility in Cleveland, OH, as a hands-on Electrician supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment critical to forging, heat treat, and machining processes. You'll work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure uptime, safety, and reliability across high-voltage systems, control panels, and automation infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and controls for forging, machining, and heat treat equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs using ladder logic; update control systems as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Test and calibrate electrical and electronic components using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Support furnace operations by monitoring and maintaining temperature and control systems to ensure process compliance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve equipment issues and implement improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, calibrations, and part replacements.
  • Follow all applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies during installations and repairs.
  • Train and mentor other electricians or maintenance staff as needed.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement efforts within the facility.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal electrical training program, apprenticeship, or technical certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, NCCER, or similar).
  • At least 5 years of experience performing electrical work, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting heavy industrial equipment such as presses, furnaces, or CNC machinery.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures.
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., aerospace, NADCAP, AS9100).
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Cross-functional troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Prior experience training or mentoring maintenance personnel.
  • Willingness to support off-shift or emergency repairs as needed.

Minimum Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach as needed throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Frequent exposure to moving machinery, fluctuating temperatures, humidity, and airborne dust or particles.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing in a noisy industrial environment.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary. We offer a competitive benefit package. Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in Cleveland, OH.
