To succeed as the Rotating Equipment Team Lead, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant rotating equipment engineering experience in oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards, with strong field experience in troubleshooting, turnaround, and construction support.
  • Valid driver’s license and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.

 

Rotating Equipment Team Lead’s responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary expert on rotating equipment, guiding engineering decisions and complex problem-solving efforts.
  • Lead initiatives to improve equipment performance and reliability through innovative solutions and advanced diagnostics.
  • Manage major equipment-related projects and contribute to long-term planning for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers to support professional development and goal alignment.
  • Uphold safety and regulatory standards while identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices.

PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day, and it has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.
