Summary:

The primary function of the Retail Lab Manager is to lead the operation of the Retail Lab in support of Iconic and non-Iconic product launches, special projects, and key Retail initiatives. The secondary role of the Retail Lab Manager is to provide security, testing, and data support to the RDC Brand Execution & Planning team. This position is being offered as a temporary position.

As the Retail Lab Manager, you will hold a pivotal position within the organization, touching all carrier and retail customers in physical locations nationwide. This role partners closely with cross-functional internal and external teams to plan and execute channel-specific security strategies that are aligned with company priorities to create customer experiences that translate into brand loyalty and sales.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute the plan in support of the Retail Lab relocation to a new facility
  • Manage facility schedule, security, and NDA requirements for all meetings, team members, and guests
  • Establish and document the Lab Policies & Procedures playbook and security protocols
  • Oversee scheduling and tracking of all deliveries and pickups to make sure all requirements are met and safety protocols are followed
  • Develop and implement methods to maintain secure and orderly facility asset processes for internal and external customers
  • Perform receiving activities for fixture and parts deliveries and disposals
  • Develop and enact procedures to repurpose or recycle fixtures and materials marked for disposal
  • Perform lab asset management duties (weekly inventory, storage, and annual audit); maintain the equipment database; analyze data to ensure Retail Inventory KPIs are within tolerances
  • Conduct team member training for specialized equipment usage and lab practices
  • Manage retail lab supplier relationships; serve as the key project manager to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Manage maintenance purchase orders, project managers (external) and 3rd party labor related to maintenance and repairs
  • Reconcile monthly expenses to budget allocations; analyze data and inform leadership on spend path
  • Develop and implement reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Chair bi-monthly Retail Lab governance meetings leading cross-functionally on topics related to floorplan, schedule, budget, and maintenance
  • Develop knowledge of security device parts, function, installation, and troubleshooting requirements to act as device security SME backup
  • Assist with device and security ordering process across cross-functional teams related to Retail Lab needs
  • Support launch preparedness by assisting with initial test fittings on new products
  • Partner with device security SME to facilitate security instructions, training and troubleshooting in print, live, and video formats at Retail Lab
  • Support special projects as assigned including launch execution quality control, device/security installations, and other activities



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Construction, and building management experience related to maintenance, repair, and logistics
  • Device security experience preferred
  • Experience managing large amounts of detailed information in a fast-paced environment
  • Leading cross-functional teams in retail merchandising planning
  • Experience in the telecommunications and/or wireless industry requiring account management, program management, business planning, project management, or equivalent work experience in planning or operations
  • Space Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Operation experiences in corporate environment desired
  • Fixture construction knowledge to inform security/VM solutions needs, and installation procedures
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to customize the message to the audience
  • Must have Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge. Demonstrable using a variety of PC applications, including word processing and PowerPoint.
  • Space Planning tools (i.e. JDA, One Door), experience preferred, CAD experience preferred

  • Willing to work additional hours beyond normal schedule during peak periods
