Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

Are you a detail-driven accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and organization? We're looking for a skilled Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support the overall financial health of our organization. Pay Rate: $20 - $25/hr. (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:



  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
  • Prepare and process ACH and wire payments
  • Reconcile AP transactions and maintain vendor files
  • Support month-end close with AP accruals
  • Generate and send customer invoices
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and apply payments
  • Monitor accounts for delays and manage collections
  • Maintain aging reports and update records
  • Collaborate with sales/customer service to resolve issues
  • Post payments, credit memos, and adjustments




Qualifications:



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in AP/AR roles
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities




Bonus Skills:



  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with GAAP and tax compliance (e.g., 1099s)
