Are you a GAAP guru with a passion for precision? A premier facilities and HVAC services company is hiring a Staff Accountant in South Windsor, CT.
This direct hire role is perfect for a detail-driven professional looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced team.

Position Highlights:



  • Salary: $85,000 annually
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire - become a full-time team member from day one!



What You'll Handle:



  • Prepare/post journal entries and assist in month-end close
  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
  • Manage sales/use tax filings and 1099 reporting
  • Monitor inventory, perform periodic counts (light travel required)
  • Analyze job cost reports and ensure prevailing wage compliance (CT, MA, NY, RI)
  • Support audits, job forecasting, and insurance documentation
  • Process AP invoices and manage property tax payments



What You Bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in GAAP, Excel, and accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus
