We are looking for a Technical Customer Service rep in the Galion, OH area.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Primary contact for customers assuring superior customer service levels are met and exceeded. Including timely processing and communication of all inquiries, orders, complaints, returns and corrections.
  • Extensive knowledge of account requirements and special situations; the ability to get results for customers.
  • Adjust and follow through on customer inquiries and complaints including order entry, returns, inventory ramifications, etc...
  • Handle exceptions, substitutions, allocations and other special problems
  • Gain specialized technical knowledge about Buckeye's products and applications.
  • Present and maintain knowledge of all aspects and options available within CSD and apply it accordingly to each opportunity
  • Maintain knowledge of and utilize vendor portals
  • Gather and provide information to sales and management team
  • Work cooperatively with other Buckeye associates; be a Team player. Offer assistance when requested/required.
  • Present Buckeye professionally and competently in all situations adhering to OTC's mission statement and core values.
  • All other duties as assigned


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or; or two (2) years related experience preferred. High school diploma with technical background and coursework and/or two year technical school enrollment or certificate, or related job experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of pump, rotating equipment and/or valve automation.
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (email, phone, web and in person)
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • A commitment to "doing it right the first time."
  • Computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF)
  • Sense of urgency; responds to requests in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
