Overview:

A Spares Operations Demand Planner at Veeco is responsible for analysis and execution of the Demand Planning process for service materials to support our customers. The scope of the Demand Planning process covers stocking plans for Service materials and includes all WorldWide (WW) Depots, Customer On-Site Stocking Locations, and Customer Consignment inventory locations.This role reports to the Director, Global Spares Operations.

Responsibilities:



  • Identify all materials that meet the Veeco criteria for inclusion in the monthly Demand Planning process
  • Manage the replenishment process for Central Stocking of all Service Materials in Business Unit Inventory, all WW Depots, Customer On-Site Locations and Customer Consignment locations
  • Analyze all WW stocking locations toensurecorrect replenishment planning is in place for each service material, based on established replenishment criteria
  • Coordinate the preparation of all Material Master Planning data required to support the Spare parts planning for all Business Units, for all WW stocking locations
  • Active management and direction of the stocking of service materials to support the Spares Operations objectives as they pertain to Inventory Turns, Fill Rate, and Warranty Hit Rate for all Business Units in each WW stocking location
  • Coordinate and chair regular meetings with Customers, Tech Support, Field ServiceandOrder Management toensurethe free flow of our information from both our internal and external customers are heard and acknowledged
  • Participate in the update of Spares Operations Metrics that measure spare parts processes
  • Handle Service Spare Parts demand planning for Global Spares Operations and Product Support. Act asownerof forecasts and inventory stocking levels set
  • Initiate and drive improvement in the demand planning process


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred. At least five yearsof related experience in planning is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Demand planning experience ina Logistics/Service/Supply Chain environment is preferred as are intermediate to advanced Excel/MS Access Database and PowerPoint/Charting and Presentation skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Hands onInventory Analysis experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, includinguseof statistical tools
  • SAP experience in Demand Planning and/or Reverse Logistics experience preferred
  • Leadership ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate information across several functions


The expected salary range for this position is $92,238-$117,000, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
