Join Infor as an MES Consulting Manager, leading a team of consultants delivering Manufacturing Execution System implementations to manufacturing clients across diverse industries. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, manage team performance, and build strong customer relationships to ensure successful MES deployments. You will collaborate closely with clients to address production and system integration challenges, mentor consultants on MES best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Infor's MES consulting services. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence and help shape the future of manufacturing through Infor's innovative solutions.
A Day in the Life:
  • Allocate work aligning tasks with team members' strengths
  • Monitor team members' activities, ensuring they remain on track to meet communicated objectives and timeframes
  • Create and maintain a Project Plan based on realistic dates for both customer and team deliverables
  • Maintain accurate resource plans for in progress and forecast projects to support the services forecasting process
  • Carry out regular project review meetings with the customer
  • Attend customer sites to provide on-site activities including requirements gathering and design workshops, user training or go live support
  • Provide accurate estimates and service works orders, clearly identifying assumptions and out of scope items
  • Review and adjust team time bookings to ensure accurate customer invoicing
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues and ensure prompt resolution
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience managing a consulting or professional services team delivering Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementations, including assigning tasks based on MES expertise and tracking team performance against project goals
  • Experience leading MES project delivery from planning through go-live, managing MES-specific scope, production scheduling challenges, system integrations, and budget adherence
  • Experience conducting regular check-ins and mentoring team members on MES best practices, supporting their technical and professional development plans
  • Experience managing resource utilization, including time tracking and scheduling, to ensure adequate coverage during MES implementation phases
  • Experience reviewing timesheets, processing change orders, and approving invoices specific to MES consulting projects to maintain accurate project financials
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting MES pre-sales activities, including requirements gathering, solution scoping, and feasibility analysis
  • Experience designing MES solutions, including requirements gathering and solution design
  • Experience mentoring junior consultants on MES technologies, manufacturing processes, and system integration best practices
  • Experience working in manufacturing industries where MES systems are critical, such as automotive, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or industrial manufacturing
