The Production Trainer is responsible for delivering practical, on-the-job training to production employees, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of machinery, tools, and manufacturing processes. This role involves direct, hands-on instruction TWI (Training Within Industry) setting to ensure staff can perform their tasks with precision, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.
The Production Trainer will conduct all training of newly hired employees and retraining employees requiring additional training by documenting Skills Matrices and databases. The Production Trainer has a significant level of knowledge and leadership to be an additional support for the ICA lines outside of the Lead's Role. This role answers directly to the Operations Manager and assists in ensuring daily production goals are met. Job Duties: * Working closely with training specialists and other partners to develop content for existing & new programs that are practical and interactive. * Providing quality training which meets the specific requirements, including KPI's, compliance and support evaluation techniques. * Maintain training Matrix databases. * Promoting and expanding learning and development opportunities across Production. * Be proactive and possess strong research skills, resolve issues and drive training initiatives independently or within a team environment. * Analyzing processes and data to determine training needs and develop materials. * Providing training reports and tracking the progress of training or related projects. * Adhering to the Train the trainer program and follow TWI (Training Within Industry) methodology. * Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement. * Develop and monitor trainees during practical exercises, offering immediate feedback to correct techniques and ensure compliance with quality standards. * Collaborate with production supervisors to identify skill gaps and tailor training to address operational needs. * Maintain training equipment and ensure it's in safe working conditions for instructional use. |
