Staffmark is hiring a Sales Associate for a trusted, long-standing industrial and agricultural supply distributor in Baton Rouge, LA. Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Employment Type: Temp-to-hire (560-hour conversion track)

Your Daily Role

As a Branch Sales Associate, you'll be the face of the company, supporting customers both at the counter and behind the scenes. From assisting walk-in customers to helping with warehouse inventory, no two days will be exactly the same.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in and call-in customers
• Engage in inside sales and provide product knowledge and recommendations
• Assist with shipping/receiving, inventory, and restocking displays
• Support the branch in reaching sales goals and upholding brand reputation
• Collaborate with your team to create a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom
• Assist with order entry and Point-of-Sale system functions
• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy and participate in cycle and physical counts
• Lift up to 50 lbs and assist with warehouse functions when needed
• Be proactive, personable, and committed to customer satisfaction
• Support special projects and additional duties as assigned by management

What You Bring to the Table

• At least 1 year of inside sales or customer service experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills-personality is key!
• Self-starter mentality and punctuality
• Willingness to stand, lift, and move throughout the day
• Basic computer skills; Point-of-Sale system experience a big plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience preferred (certification provided)
• Experience with agricultural or industrial retail is a bonus
