The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly-skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is a unique blend of technical expertise and commercial driving, offering a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and reliable operation of our CO2 systems, acting as a crucial link between our company and our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Transportation: Operate a CDL B rated vehicle with a primary focus on safety. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required documentation.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Follow scheduled routes to provide on-site service to customers. Maintain a professional demeanor and a positive, problem-solving attitude.

  • Product Handling & Installation: Safely and accurately load, unload, and transport CO2 products. This includes operating power tools, climbing ladders, and safely maneuvering equipment up to 500 lbs.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete all required logs and reports, including mileage, delivery details, and customer signatures.

  • Travel: Be prepared for regional travel up to 50% of the time, which may include overnight stays with 1-2 weeks' prior notice. All travel-related expenses (hotel, flights, car rentals) will be covered by Airgas.

  • Technical Aptitude: Utilize your technical skills to service equipment and troubleshoot issues. The ability to read blueprints is a plus.

  • Schedule: Typical shifts are Monday through Friday.

  • Pay begins at $25/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) experience within the last 4 years.

  • Certifications: Possess an active CDL B license with both Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. No exceptions.

  • Age: Must be at least 22 years old.

  • Driving Record: A clean driving record is mandatory.

    • No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.

    • No more than 2 minor moving violations in the last 3 years.

    • No serious violations (e.g., speeding 15+ mph over the limit, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.

    • No DUI convictions in the last 7 years.

    • No CDL suspensions in the last 3 years (except for "Failure to pay child support").

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs and maneuver up to 500 lbs with a hand truck.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
