General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is looking for a Chief Social Worker for the MedStar House Call Program!

The Chief Social Worker, MHCP, leads the social worker team in providing care coordination, psychosocial support, and community outreach to complement the multidisciplinary team approach for primary health care to home bound patients. Responsible for monitoring all Total Elder Care social workers.

Primary Duties:

• Assists the AVP of Operations with external audits and ensures compliance with governing regulations.
• Develops, implements, and enforces clinical policies, procedures, and innovative care models for MedStar Total Elder Care.
• Manages staffing levels, oversees caseload distribution, and maintains a limited clinical caseload to support care quality.
• Mentors, trains, and evaluates social work staff, participating in recruitment and addressing performance concerns.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and interdisciplinary team meetings to advance departmental goals.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work (Required)
• 5-7 years -7 years post-grad experience as a sw, home care experience (Required)

Licenses/Certifications:

* LGSW - Licensed Graduate Social Worker (Required) and

* LICSW - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (Preferred)

This position has a hiring range of $60,632 - $107,494
