General Purpose

We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support a wide variety of design projects across both digital and print media. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong creative vision and the ability to deliver polished, engaging design assets.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer will:

  • Plan concepts by researching relevant materials and design trends

  • Illustrate design concepts and layouts, including art arrangement, type size, and style

  • Create finished artwork using industry-standard design software and equipment

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., marketing, web designers, printers)

  • Develop a variety of assets, including product illustrations, company logos, and digital content

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding layout and design direction

  • Collaborate with the executive team to provide visuals and presentations for quarterly board meetings

  • Review final layouts and suggest refinements as needed

  • Contribute to team success by supporting project needs across departments

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field

  • Proven experience as a graphic designer or in a similar creative role

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creative versatility

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); experience with Quark a plus

  • Familiarity with web design, corporate branding, packaging, multimedia, and marketing materials

  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools

Key Skills
  • Excellent visual composition and layout skills

  • Strong time management with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills



Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
