The senior marketing strategist is responsible for leading the creation, and execution, of strategic marketing plans which support WVU Medicine's strategic business priorities and operational goals, specifically related to the RNI. This person will focus on creating and managing the marketing activities for RNI's clinical programs, and must have the ability to work within many areas of marketing, including: directing team members, managing campaign budgets, placing media buys in a variety of formats (print, digital, out-of-home, broadcast), managing marketing campaigns across multiple marketing channels, planning and executing the social media strategy in support of RNI and developing copy and content which can be repurposed across multiple outreach channels.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field EXPERIENCE: 1. Seven (7) years of experience in marketing PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field EXPERIENCE: 1. Responsibilities will include championing innovation, developing best practices, managing metrics for program success, and looking for creative solutions to support overall team initiatives. 2. Write, copy edit, proofread, and repurpose content marketing deliverables (e.g. - collateral, web pages, blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies). 3. Develop and manage a rich content/editorial calendar which attracts a qualified audience. 4. Support the creation of digital graphics and basic design and layout of materials. 5. Develop, and implement, marketing automation and digital marketing campaigns. 6. Measure and report performance of outreach campaigns against set goals (ROI and KPIs). 7. Plan and execute SEO/SEM and display advertising campaigns 8. Develop content/campaigns across owned and earned social channels, including, but not limited to posts, tweets, status updates, photos and videos to drive consistent, relevant traffic and engagement. 9. Develop and update company presentations utilizing PowerPoint (e.g. - new and existing templates). 10. Provide support for industry related conferences, trade shows, and events. 11. Establish and maintain relationships with Industry media contacts, organizations, and key influencers. 12. Recommend marketing strategy adjustments to meet changing market and competitive conditions. 13. Perform support duties including but not limited to: database management, reporting and analytics, monitoring industry trends and best practices, maintaining marketing materials, and tradeshow / event support. Must have strong creative and professional writing skills. 2. Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. 3. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 4. Familiarity with CRM. 5. Familiarity with SEO and SEM best practices. 6. Familiarity with web-based CMS and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics a plus). 7. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints. 8. Direct work experience in the healthcare industry, preferred. 9. Strong Independent project management skills 10. Firm understanding of print production and management. 11. Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision. 12. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights. 13. Able to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion. 14. Technologically-savvy and resourceful. 15. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. 17. Results-oriented and solution-focused with a problem-solving attitude. 18. Highly organized and able to exercise strong attention to detail. 19. An effective communicator in speaking and writing. 20. Self-motivated with a learning attitude and a sense of urgency.
