The Inventory Specialist Lead checks shipments going in and out of the hospital and ensures that all orders are delivered correctly. Working under limited supervision, this role provides oversight of analytical and administrative support regarding inventory cycle counts, the development of stocking criteria, obsolete stock keeping units (SKUs), systems activity statistics, procurement sourcing decisions, and reorder point/quantity level setting.
Oversees staff in generating daily cycle counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies, calculating and recommending reorder point/quantity for system stocking, monitoring and identifying obsolete SKUs, reviewing and suggesting corrective action for supply disruptions, and creating/submitting daily purchase orders to vendors.
Reviews staff's daily processes such as creating and submitting forecasting reports directly related to budget needs, strategic sourcing, and contracts to ensure accuracy and completion.
Analyzes financial data for resolution of receiving, purchases, credits, returns, and reconciliation for payment processes.
Creates, trends, and standardizes forecasting, purchase order review, contract conversion, and cubic demand data for the Distribution Manager of Inventory.
Trains staff on cycle counts, reordering point/quantity adjustments, noticing obsolete stock keeping units (SKUs), and creating statuses for what stock is on hand.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience
