The Project Controls Analyst "PCA" is responsible for the oversight and training of all project cost and revenue related functions to include:

    Weekly Cost Reviews with Project Team

Responsibilities

The PCA is responsible for many aspects of the project from project setup to closeout.

  • Job Setup - Ensuring that each Job Setup follows standards and procedures that allow for proper job costing.
  • Budget Interface - Reviewing and Interfacing all budgets to ensure they match bid time data including cost, profit and contingency.
  • Weekly Cost Review - Hold weekly cost review meetings with project teams to ensure that cost and qty's are being reported correctly and within budget. Identify necessary JCA's, phase maintenance, etc.
  • Monthly Projection Meetings - Hold monthly cost projection meetings with project team to review the monthly cost to complete and revenue projections.
  • Monthly CCR Log Review - Review CCR log's monthly for accuracy and correct as needed. Work with project teams to ensure that PCO's are valid and are quickly converted to ACO's. Identify any revenue recognition over 250k for additional explanation and reporting.
  • Monthly Margin Summary - Compiling all monthly cost projection and margin changes to input into Viewpoint for WIP Calculations.
  • Monthly Project Billing - Review project billing summary and follow up with PMs on outstanding owner billing. Review project under billing explanation reports for reasonableness.
  • Change Management - Review change orders prior to interface for proper DOA and backup.
  • Project Manager Oversight - Ensure project teams are following all project controls processes and procedures. Train teams as needed.
  • Project % Complete - Review current project % complete monthly and update future projections based on field input.
  • Outstanding AR - Review outstanding project AR and follow up with project team to ensure timely collection.
  • Project Closeout - Ensure timely project closeout once project is final billed and AR/AP/Underbilling are zero.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related area. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
