DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will engage in a diverse range of electrical engineering tasks aimed at supporting correctional institutions across the state. Leveraging your knowledge of electrical engineering principles and methodologies, you will devise effective solutions to challenges related to operations, maintenance, design, or construction. Your responsibilities will encompass the review and preparation of various electrical engineering designs, along with the creation of detailed design drawings and specifications necessary for construction initiatives. You will also be involved in conducting site surveys for ongoing projects, participating in design review meetings and conferences, and coordinating design activities with all relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, you will provide expert recommendations concerning equipment and represent the department and facility during inspections and conferences, ensuring that the interests of the institution are effectively communicated and advocated for. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as an Electrical Engineer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession a valid driver's license.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
