Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of UI features and backend services. This role will work closely with UI Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to validate new features, automate test coverage, and uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain automated test suites (UI and API level) using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman.
  • Collaborate with developers during sprint cycles to validate feature functionality, edge cases, and business logic.
  • Design and execute test cases to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines, enabling shift-left testing practices.
  • Review wireframes, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability.
  • Perform regression, exploratory, performance, and cross-browser testing for front-end features delivered via React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Track, triage, and manage bugs or system defects through tools such as JIRA and coordinate fixes in collaboration with development teams.
  • Ensure a consistent quality bar across desktop and mobile web interfaces.
  • Support release readiness efforts and post-deployment validations to confirm successful feature delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of hands-on QA or QE experience in web-based application testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and SDLC processes.
  • Experience writing automated tests for modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Proficiency in tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or similar.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or REST Assured for backend testing.
  • Solid experience with bug tracking systems like JIRA and test case management tools like Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development environments and CI/CD workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.



Preferred Skills:



  • Experience working alongside DevOps teams or in CI/CD environments using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing and WCAG 2.1 standards.
  • Background in supporting observability or monitoring tools such as Datadog is a plus.



Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and four years' experience in application development or a related function OR
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field and six years' experience in application development or a related function OR
  • High School Diploma or GED eight years' experience in application development or a related function OR
