PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Downline Operator plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and workplace safety within a fiberglass manufacturing environment. This position requires technical proficiency in quality testing, equipment operation, and warehouse logistics, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. This individual is expected to be a culture ambassador, exhibit a strong sense of our safety identity, as well as driving quality and optimizing plant efficiency.

Rate of Pay: $22.00/hr. with a $0.50 night shift differential

Reports to: Operations Leader

Schedule: Rotating shifts

Schedules will rotate between nights and days every 28 days.

Dayshift: 6:45am - 7:00pm

Nightshift: 6:45pm - 7:00am

Weekly Schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern:

Week 1: Work 2 days, off 2 days, then work 3 days.

Week 2: Off 2 days, work 2 days, then off 3 days.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance



  • Perform and demonstrate competency in ULF quality testing procedures
  • Monitor and enter quality data throughout the shift.
  • Maintain consistent bag weights according to product specifications.
  • Admix out-of-specification product to optimize production yield and minimize waste.
  • Ensure proper bag labeling, placement, and packaging.


Safety



  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas to support safety and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in Plant Safety initiatives such as Hazard ID and Online Learning.


Technical Operations



  • Assist in transport line cleanouts to ensure optimal airflow.
  • Identify and report abnormalities to initiate corrective actions.
  • Operate and maintain packaging equipment including baggers, inkjet label printers, and stretch wrappers.
  • Troubleshoot and assign programs to material handling and bag placing robots.
  • Support warehouse operations including product transfer, shipping, and receiving.
  • Lead bill of lading processes and assist with goods receipt documentation.
  • Utilize SAP software for shipment documentation and inventory tracking.
  • Apply FIFO inventory principles in coordination with warehouse management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Completed High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in industrial manufacturing or industrial environment
