Schedule & Pay



  • 1st Shift | 7 AM - 3 PM
  • 2nd Shift | 3 PM - 11 PM
  • Monday - Friday
  • Starting Pay | $23 per hour



Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of lead experience + forklift experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g., OSHA, company, etc.)
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g., protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policy
  • Experienced in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)



Position Summary

The Lead Forklift Operator oversees daily forklift operations, providing guidance, training, and support to a team of forklift operators. This role ensures efficient material handling, compliance with safety standards, and smooth coordination between departments while also performing hands-on equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities



  • Leadership & Training

    • Provide direction to forklift operators, assigning daily tasks and resolving operational issues.
    • Train and mentor new forklift operators, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and performance standards.
    • Support supervisors and management in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work.


  • Forklift Operation

    • Operate various types of powered industrial equipment (stand-up, clamp, gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
    • Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation in compliance with OSHA standards.
    • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.


  • Material Handling & Inventory

    • Load, unload, and store inbound and outbound shipments safely and accurately.
    • Pull, stage, and prepare products for shipment, ensuring correct quantities, product types, and quality standards.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports to support inventory control and stock rotation.
    • Assist with physical inventories and promptly report quality issues or discrepancies.


  • Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all company safety rules and enforce safe work practices among team members.
    • Identify and report unsafe conditions that cannot be corrected immediately.
    • Adhere to corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Maintain compliance with customer requirements and loading/unloading specifications.


  • Collaboration & Housekeeping

    • Coordinate activities with other departments, particularly Customer Service.
    • Perform "clean as you go" housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
