Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

RBC's Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm's Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management, and Functions within the US.

This unique role combining business analysis and project/program coordination is accountable to the US CIO for the support of project/program execution, delivery of business analysis and requirements, the coordination of program documentation, and the production of program materials and reports. This hands-on role will directly contribute to project functional/technical/quality analysis and oversee the creation, management and delivery of artifacts for technology projects supporting cross-LOB technical, regulatory and business-driven initiatives.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Work closely with CUSO project managers to support IT efforts or regulatory remediation programs.

  • Partner with senior leaders in the CUSO CIO office who are managing regulatory remediation activities to ensure that output from remediation activities have traceability back to corrective actions and regulatory responses, including proper signoff through appropriate governance channels.

  • Assist in the collection, completion, organization and maintenance of regulatory remediation project documentation, ensuring accuracy and readiness for regulatory closure and submission.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining the U.S. CIO SharePoint portals, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.

  • Ensure CUSO and enterprise program processes and standards are being followed in project execution.

  • Assist with regular project status reporting by working closely with Project Managers and project stakeholder from various functions to gather necessary information. Compile and organize data into required formats, and where necessary assist with creation of new reports or content for Steering Committee or senior leadership governance forums.

  • Assist the program team with ad hoc tasks and reporting, as required to ensure regulatory remediation execution is successful.

  • Develop and track project execution metrics to help support remediation success.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of business analysis and project coordinator experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience building executive level presentations and communications.

  • Critical attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and improve data accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Advanced in Excel (Pivot, filtering, sums, formulas across multiple worksheets), Word, PowerPoint.

Nice-to-have:

  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working under their own initiative.

  • A logical & creative approach to problem solving and an ability to identify critical issues with ease.

  • Deep understanding and proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business, banking compliance, risk, legal, regulatory, or related bank regulatory experience

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000-$135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
