Job Description:

Job Summary
  • The Associate Brand Engagement Consultant is dedicated to the strategic development and execution of new and innovative ways to grow affinity for the Southwest brand by creating and executing local market events, sponsorships, activations, enterprise initiatives, and media promotions that engage customers.

Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours.

Responsibilities
  • Build internal and external partner relationships with the ability to inspire and influence, collaborate, and gain alignment
  • Work cross-functionally to maximize Marketing initiatives, investments and work streams with leadership direction
  • Develop owned programs from concept evaluation through execution and media placement ensuring the final campaign meets the strategic objective
  • See the big picture, proactively innovate and initiate courses of action in line with local market strategy, drive forward, and follow through against established timelines
  • Tell a compelling and relevant story that conveys well thought-out recommendations, create a point of view by connecting diverse data to develop insights, present with poise and confidence
  • Construct own hypotheses to problem solve, applying ingenuity and creativity
  • Impact the environment of his or her direct team and Marketing department
  • Work with leaders to align priorities, constructively address project work, and build personal development plans
  • Maintain an active and thorough understanding of core Southwest business, local market position and competitive activity
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization's strategic plan
  • Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Ability to come up with several ideas about a topic
  • Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem
  • Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Marketing
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Air travel with overnight stays required

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $74,950 - $83,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
