Overview

Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring an ERP Technical Liaison to join our dynamic Corporate Applications IT Team. This position reports to the IT ERP Program Manager.

This role combines technical and functional expertise to implement, customize, and integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. This ERP Technical Liaison will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, and ensure successful system deployment. They will need to be able to help facilitate communication between key BPOs/end users and the Woolpert development team for things like tickets or custom requests that require development work, but there is a gap between understanding "Woolpert Way", cross-application dependencies, and development understanding. The individual will need to possess strong technical skills in areas like customization, configuration, and integration, as well as functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 modules like Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Engagement (CE).

Essential Functions

As an ERP Technical Liaison at Woolpert, you will:

    Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Working with stakeholders to understand business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Solution Design: Designing and proposing solutions using Dynamics 365 modules, considering scalability, performance, and best practices.
  • Customization and Configuration: Configuring and customizing Dynamics 365 to meet specific business requirements, including security, and workflows.
  • Integration: Integrating Dynamics 365 (F&O and CE) with other systems using various tools and technologies, including Azure services.
  • Testing and Deployment: Leading testing efforts, ensuring the quality and functionality of the implemented solution, and managing the deployment process. This role is responsible for reviewing expectations to develop pass/fail test scenarios for better QA/QC.
  • Training and Support: Providing training to users and supporting them with ongoing system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Leadership: Providing guidance and mentorship to other team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with 3 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, integration, and development using tools like Azure DevOps, and various APIs. A development background is required for initial review to help expedite resolution and provide accurate timeline. (i.e., forms, fields, etc. affected). Must have XML and X++ experience.
  • Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of specific Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., F&O and CE) and their functionalities. Must have experience communicating with end users to gather requirements and business reasonings for translation of expectations to Development team, as well as communicating with end users on progress made.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. Must have experience analyzing cross application dependencies - for instance, how requests would affect Dayforce, CE, existing integrations, etc.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific business processes and best practices is a plus.
