The Dematic Solutions Data and Application division is responsible for developing the software tools that our engineers use globally for developing solutions for Dematic customers.

As part of this distributed team, we are actively looking to recruit a Software Technical Project Manager to effectively deliver the internal estimating tools for Dematic. This position requires strong internal engagement with customers involved in solutions development is needed to encourage the early use of tools and promote standardized practices during the estimation process.

The role will encompass a series of new software tools and the development of existing tools within Dematic. We are seeking those with experience in delivering projects in line with software project management methodologies who can successfully deliver complex IT-led real-time projects and has experience with the full software development lifecycle. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $111,000-$170,200 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will do in This Role:
  • Responsible for the delivery, quality, and budget of software execution projects.
  • Responsible for publishing, communicating and maintaining a project plan/schedule.
  • Responsible for managing scope and change control.
  • Responsible for generating and coordinating customer deliverables.
  • Proactively seek ways to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Responsibility for leading all aspects of the customer relationship,
  • Provide a buffer to the technical side of the team to keep the focus on deliverables.
  • Ensure standard work and execution framework is being followed (DI1000/ISO).
  • Receive and understand the solutions development concept and simulation.
  • Coordinate in-house and on-site project activities with other fields.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Track record of successful delivery of complex IT-led real-time projects.
  • An ability to lead both internal technical resources and set expectations with the end-users.
  • In-depth understanding of software development life cycle
  • Experience managing project teams in either Waterfall or Agile methodology
  • Experience delivering software systems in real-time environments
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Apps
  • A demonstratable understanding of the supply chain marketplace, ideally in an eCommerce environment.
What We are Looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an applicable engineering field
  • Demonstratable experience in software project management
  • PMP certification or like certification is preferred but not crucial
  • Working knowledge of the industrial automation or similar industry
  • A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 20%)
