Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Collibra Developer.
In this role, the successful candidate is an experienced and self-motivated analyst/developer with a high degree of technical acumen and good understanding of data to develop and support data governance and data management. Ability to independently lead the end-to-end execution of all technical projects, which includes ensuring timely delivery, maintaining high-quality standards, and aligning with business requirements through expert guidance, project management, and team collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Scrum Master for Collibra projects, using ClickUp as the task management tool to facilitate agile project management and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Define and implement roles, views, audit reports, and other execution and monitoring concepts within Collibra to support governance of the data inventory development.
- Actively participate in Collibra-related activities, including data entry, cataloging, and the creation of data dictionaries, ensuring that data assets are accurately documented and accessible.
- Develop and manage workflows in workflow designer tools to streamline data governance processes.
- Configure and maintain the Collibra Operating Model and Data Marketplace to ensure efficient data governance and accessibility.
- Develop Collibra APIs to integrate with other systems and automate data governance processes.
- Write custom Python code to support data governance tasks, including data validation, transformation, and reporting.
- Create test cases for validating workflow development to ensure that workflows function as intended and meet business requirements.
- Utilize Collibra capabilities to support basic data quality framework requirements, ensuring that data quality metrics, standards, and monitoring processes are effectively implemented and maintained.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree required.
5-7 years of relevant technical experience, with 3-5 years of real hands-on technical experience with Collibra, which includes, but not limited to: Expertise in developing workflows in Collibra workflow designer tools, Experience developing Collibra APIs and integrating them with other systems, Proficiency in writing custom Python code for data governance tasks, Experience serving as a Scrum Master for Collibra projects, with proficiency in using task management tools.
Experience configuring and managing the Collibra Operating Model and Data Marketplace.
Strong technical skills in data querying and analysis.
Strong knowledge of metadata management and Collibra is required.
Strong communication and partnering skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the healthcare delivery system is a significant plus.
Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
Cloud management and computing experience is a plus.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $144,850.09 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
