Overview

We are seeking a senior-level finance professional with exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills who wants to be part of the ESG movement. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in financial modeling, pricing, and project finance, particularly in renewable energy, regulated utilities, or advanced technical manufacturing settings. Passion for making a strategic impact on sectors like carbon capture, and renewable natural gas is essential, and making a difference is a must.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and oversight of financial models, supporting both the finance and business development organizations at a strategic level. This role sits within the Finance & Investor Relations organization and reports directly to the Finance Director.




  • Serves as the senior finance point person for both the sales and finance organizations, providing thought leadership, analysis, and support to enable the successful closing of complex commercial sales and a wide range of financings (corporate, construction, working capital, and project).
  • Lead and oversee financial evaluations for major investment decisions and customer contracts, including asset sales and long-term service agreements (e.g., power purchase agreements). Deliver recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Spearhead's collaboration efforts with Commercial Sales to evaluate new business opportunities and drive contracts through to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze, propose, and negotiate sophisticated project finance and capitalization strategies, supporting optimal capital structure and risk mitigation for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales and Finance to advise and assist customers/finance partners in optimizing project and existing asset returns through innovative financial solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and ensure integrity of standard and bespoke corporate and project finance models, guiding and mentoring junior finance staff throughout the project and customer sale evaluation process.
  • Support, expand, and elevate relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., tax equity investors, strategic partners, lenders, customers), representing the organization's interests at the highest levels.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as needed, setting an example of flexibility, initiative, and leadership across teams.
  • Travel: Up to 20%, both domestic and international.



Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline with demonstrable experience.

Candidate must have demonstrable knowledge/experience in:



  • Demonstrated advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Robust financial modeling experience on highly complex and long-duration project structures, particularly those involving both debt and equity financing.
  • Proven ability to lead pricing strategy, business planning, and the full life cycle of project development/finance.
  • Strong leadership capability, experience mentoring or overseeing junior staff, and an ability to drive business results through collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, project management, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills: proficiency in other Office applications required.
  • Outstanding time management skills, with high flexibility, creativity, and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.



Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:



  • Hybrid office and field environment: Must be able to drive an automobile, use a computer, and travel by plane.
  • Occasional walking, standing, and climbing may be required at customer or project sites.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, shoes, hard hats, respirators) as designated by project or site requirements.
  • Travel by car, plane, or other forms of public transportation as needed for business objectives; regular domestic and international travel is required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Passport.
