Salary

$28.85 - $33.40/hourly

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Canvas Health's mental health and substance use disorder providers, clinicians, and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Position Summary

This position exists to promote and utilize a multi-sector approach to implement regional suicide prevention activities aimed at improving the overall mental health status of the community. The work will involve providing Technical Assistance to coalitions and communities. Duties will also include coordinating trainings, facilitating group meetings, and improving access to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline through community engagement efforts. This position includes some weekend and evening hours, depending on assigned community events schedules. This position will also administratively support the entire Suicide Prevention Regional Coordination program as well as will provide mentoring and training to new staff as they are onboarded.


Location
Remote - in Minnesota


Schedule 40 hours, flexible scheduling including some evenings and weekends


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in public health or closely related field.
  • 3 years of experience working with communities to implement a comprehensive suicide prevention plan or other relatable public health priority.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, use computers, software, and email, including various data collection programs, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting public presentations and public speaking.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of the public health approach to suicide prevention.
  • Experience with coalition building.
  • Experience with providing Technical Assistance.
  • Experience collating data and designing reports using Redcap or other types of software.
  • Experience working with and/or delivering face-to-face services to diverse populations
