The Forklift Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and functional warehouse environment. This role ensures accurate verification and documentation of all materials received and requisitioned, supporting efficient inventory management. The Warehouse Associate executes all tasks in alignment with the company's mission, goals, and philosophy, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and overall business success.


Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:




  • Retrieve material from stock for shipping as instructed by scheduling requirements/Manager.
  • Operate forklift per safety policies and procedures as requested.
  • Mechanically and manually load and unload trucks with incoming/outgoing material.
  • Verify and document in written English that incoming/outgoing shipments are accurately reflected on Bills of Lading and other accompanying documentation.
  • Inspect all incoming material for damage; note any damage on Bill of Lading; deliver all Bills of Lading to Supervisor confer with Purchasing Manager regarding any damage, implement decision of Purchasing Manager regarding whether or not to accept shipment; sign all Bills of Lading for accepted shipments.
  • Record incoming raw materials and packaging supplies in computer and attach inventory tag.
  • Locate raw material for pick up from warehouse.
  • Place processed material in proper locations in warehouse.
  • Take physical inventory weekly of raw materials and plant supplies and inform Purchasing Manager of needed supplies.
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean and organized condition.
  • Perform other essential and non-essential functions as assigned.
  • Responsible for all In Process Inspection, communicating any possible defects to downstream processes.
  • Communicating issues to other Departments via Roll Tags, Comments in digital format, Signage on Rolls.
  • Operator is responsible for Quality of all products, and communication associated with their rolls.
  • To perform all job functions in accordance with the requirement of organization's safety policies, FSSC22000, ISO 22000, prerequisite programs, and following all related procedures and work instructions.

  • Good communication skills in the English language (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
