Responsibilities

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support our customer at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The NAVAIR Digital Department leads the digital transformation of NAVAIR and works to accelerate and scale digital/analytic technologies and capabilities across the NAVAIR Enterprise to increase speed in the delivery and sustainment of warfighting capability. The Digital Group delivers and executes command-wide strategies that align activities and provides the workforce with agile self-service infrastructure, data accessibility, visualization and analytic tools, and digital/IT services to rapidly research, create, deploy, integrate, and maintain, applications, enterprise solutions, and other digital capabilities. NAVAIR's digital transformation will require leveraging advanced digital tools to implement fundamentally different business models across all business, technology development, workforce, and mission operation domains. The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:

  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
  • Experience with MBSE practices.
  • Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions.
  • Experience with systems engineering analyses and using the results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, costs, etc.
  • Experience with how system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle).
  • Requires experience with systems engineering and of model-based methodologies. Experience with the use of modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.

Qualifications

  • Must have a have a bachelor's degree in a Technical or Scientific field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have minimum of two (2) years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology.
  • Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator is required.
  • Selected candidate must have taken a SysML modeling language course.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must be a US Citizen

Compensation

Mid/Journeyman Level: At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $60,000-$150,000; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
