Current US Citizenship AND must have an Interim or Full Secret Clearance valid within the past 365 days. If no longer affiliated with a sponsoring organization, the clearance must have been active within the past 365 days. Highlights:
- The Biometric Collections Capability (BC2) program is a program with a long history of supporting the Department of Defense's (DOD) Force Protections and Counterterrorism missions around the world. I3 has been providing technical solutions to the using biometrics and other innovative technology to the DOD and other national agencies for over 25 years.
- The Financial Analyst will prepare a Monthly Estimate At Completion (EAC) financial report for the government. This report encompasses all cost elements: labor, travel, ODCs, and Materials. This person will be responsible for reporting inception to date actual costs, costs incurred but not invoiced, and an Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecast.
- This person will be responsible for providing variance analysis (actuals vs forecast) and identifying at an early stage when additional funding needs to be requested.
- The Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the program's invoice is accurate and reconciles to both I3's accounting system, and the Monthly EAC Financial Report.
- The BC2 Program's Financial Analyst will interact with corporate functions such as accounting, finance, and contracts. This position will be working with senior staff in various departments to ensure the program's success.
- This individual will also be mentored by the President/CFO.
- Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000
Typical Day: Our team works on a hybrid schedule with two days in the corporate office. Team members have brief daily coordination meetings but are able to interact throughout the day with other team members and I3 staff to gain the information necessary to complete their tasks and to proactively recommend changes to mitigate risk and ensure program performance to the highest level of customer satisfaction. Tasks:
- Prepare a Monthly Estimate At Completion (EAC) financial report for the government. This report encompasses all cost elements: direct labor, fringe, overhead, G&A, Material Handling, travel, ODCs, Materials, and fee/profit. This person will be responsible for reporting inception to date actual costs, costs incurred but not invoiced, and an Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecast.
- Provide variance analysis (actuals vs forecast) on a monthly basis for direct labor, indirect costs (fringe, overhead, G&A, Material Handing), travel, ODCs, materials, and fee/profit
- Responsible for ensuring the program's invoice is accurate and reconciles to both I3's accounting system and the Monthly EAC Financial Report
- Monitoring remaining funding levels by SLIN by maintaining accurate financial reports: Monthly EAC financial report and other expense tracking spreadsheets.
- Incorporate contractual changes into the Monthly Estimate At Completion (EAC) financial report.
- Coordinate inputs from various function team leads in order to prepare internal/external reports on Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL)
- Continually assesses and improve the financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies.
- Prepare financial reports such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-5 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Experience in financial reporting/project accounting on federal government Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts.
- High Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to develop excel models for efficient report preparation.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint or other large ERP's financial reports to prepare program specific deliverables (Monthly EAC Financial Report, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior financial analyst position(s) working for a U.S. Government Contractor
Position Type Shift Information:
- Generally, 9:00am-5:00pm, but hybrid schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote) allows flexibility.
