Description & Requirements
What you will do:
Project Manager II is responsible for capturing the vision, business objective, and team mission of IT and non-IT related projects for overall project success. Successful project managers acquire appropriate resources, plan projects with focus, and manage risks, communication and overall quality throughout the project. Project Manager II is responsible for significant and firm-wide projects, typically with large budgets and sizeable teams that support clearly defined business objectives.
Strategy & Planning
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule, organize, and share project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems, lessons learned and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Collaborate with Manager EPMO for project mission and business objective alignment.
Project ResourceAcquisition,Coordination& Deployment
  • Work with Resource Coordinator to identify and assign project resources.
  • Estimate the hours needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment, if necessary, during the project cycle.
  • Collaborate with Manager EPMO for continued project support and guidance.
Project Execution/Operational Management
  • Manage project development from initiation to successful close.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Continuously learn and collaborate with other Project Managers for overall growth and maturity of PMO.
  • Closely monitorstatusof projects and tasks assigned toteam, providing reports to IT leadership.

  • Seek opportunities for continued professional development to learn and grow project management skills.
  • Collaborate and obtain guidance from Manager EPMO
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
