The Opportunity

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing enterprise-wide sales and business processes, and leading advanced analytics initiatives. This position requires deep expertise in data modeling, predictive analytics, visualization, and cross-functional collaboration to support Sales Leadership and key business stakeholders. This individual plays a key role in guiding business strategy, delivering executive-level insights, supporting incentive programs, and providing high-quality analysis through platforms such as Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365.Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry is highly preferred.

What You'll Do



    • Design and deliver comprehensive, executive-level dashboards and reports using Power BI and other BI tools.
    • Leverage predictive and prescriptive analytics to uncover trends, optimize sales strategies, and drive enterprise decisions.
    • Create compelling, dynamic visualizations for senior leadership and board-level presentations.
    • Monitor and report on critical business metrics such as pipeline health, sales velocity, revenue trends, and ROI.
    • Apply machine learning and statistical methods to forecast performance, segment customers, and drive revenue optimization.
    • Maintain scalable, high-quality datasets, ensuring data integrity and compliance with enterprise standards.
    • Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting models, integrating internal and external data sources.
    • Support territory planning, quota setting, and strategic sales forecasting.
    • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to guide resource allocation and market planning.
    • Establish and track KPIs and OKRs to support continuous performance improvement across sales teams.
    • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
    • Provide deep insights into key clients, including the top 10 within each sector, and tailor reporting to meet their unique needs.
    • Execute reporting and forecasting for sales incentive programs, including compensation tracking and CTL incentive performance.
    • Serve as an analytical advisor to key stakeholders providing strategic insights and tactical support.
    • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by identifying inefficiencies and automating reporting processes.
    • Continuously evolve reporting capabilities using advanced features of Power BI, scripting, and automation tools.
    • Partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Business Applications, and sector teams to align key initiatives.
    • Act as a trusted data expert, mentoring analysts across the business and guiding stakeholders through complex analysis.
    • Present strategic findings and recommendations to senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
    • Translate complex data models into clear, actionable insights that support company-wide initiatives.
    • Lead high-level ad hoc analysis on emerging business challenges, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
    • Own special projects, including dashboard development and enterprise-level metric tracking.
    • Maintain deep knowledge of the AEC industry, including economic, market, and social factors that impact business strategy.
    • Understand and interpret data across multiple business sectors and service lines to deliver relevant, customized insights.


    What We Expect from You



    • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Master's degree (MBA or MS in Data Science) strongly preferred OR 15+ years of directly relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 10-15 years in sales operations, business analytics, or strategic analysis roles.
    • Advanced proficiency with:

      • Power BI (including DAX and data modeling)
      • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
      • Data querying and transformation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
      • Statistical modeling and machine learning techniques


    • Experience with enterprise data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
    • Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Clari, Outreach, or similar platforms.
    • Experience in or strong familiarity with the AEC industry and its sales/operational dynamics.
    • Understanding of Ulteig's Lifeline Sectors and Services preferred.
    • Analytical Thinking: Deep expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
    • Executive Communication: Ability to translate data into insights for C-level audiences.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives.
    • Project Leadership: Skilled in managing strategic projects from concept to execution.
    • Innovation: Track record of using data science and emerging tools to improve business outcomes.


    What You'll Do



    • Budgeting & Planning: Support the development of annual budgets and financial plans. Collaborate with department leaders to gather inputs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights that inform business decisions.
    • Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and clarity in presenting financial data.
    • Forecasting: Contribute to the forecasting process by maintaining models and updating projections based on business conditions.
    • AI-Enhanced Insights: Leverage AI tools and techniques to automate data analysis, identify patterns, and generate predictive insights. Collaborate with the FP&A team to evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Strategic Support: Provide financial data and analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
    • Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance against targets and help identify areas for improvement.
    • Process Optimization: Participate in efforts to improve FP&A processes and tools. Help implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships across departments and communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.
    • Quarterly Reporting: Support the treasury team in preparing quarterly reports for the Audit Committee.
    • Reconciliation: Collaborate with accounts payable and treasury to complete monthly credit card reconciliations.
    • Preparing Presentations: Contribute to the preparation of various presentations.
    • Provide assistance to Treasury on ad-hoc requests.



    What We Expect from You



    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel; experience with tools like Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Dynamics 365, or is a plus.
    • Interest or experience in applying AI or machine learning tools in financial analysis is a strong advantage.
    • Clear and effective communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

    Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $108,000 - $146,000
    * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role.
