 RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 
 Provide technician GSE support which involves building, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves and plumbing related to the LOX pad, fuel pad, and other aspects of the site facilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as neededOperate and maintain hardware, high pressure systems and pumps, and other ancillary equipment including pneumatic componentsFabricate and repair GSE hardware and equipmentCollaborate with design engineers to develop and document GSE activitiesEnsure all materials are clean and inspected according to Clean for Oxygen Service StandardsBuild and maintain structural and engine test equipmentObtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as requiredFollow all necessary regulations and appropriate SpaceX procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, NFPA, ASME, NEC, etc.Develop novel ways site wide to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operationsPerform a variety of related duties in support of engine testing and structural test stand programs
 
 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalency certificate3+ years of industrial experience installing pipe and components, bending stainless tubes, and/or working around high pressure systems 
 
 PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
 
 
 A&P licenseAssociate degreeExperience in the aerospace industry, military or other high-reliability operating environmentExperience in ground support equipment in an aerospace industryMechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling)Formalized mechanical training, skilled in hand and power tool usageDemonstrated experience where quick-thinking and problem solving plays a critical roleKnowledge of high vacuum systemsKnowledge of all types of borescope inspection equipmentKnowledge of different fittings such as NPT and A/NAbility to utilize power tools and hand tools as well as heavy equipmentUse of precision measuring instrumentsAbility to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematicsKnowledge of hazardous systems - cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoricKnowledge of high pressure system design and handling

 Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral Space Force BaseWilling to work the following shift, overtime, and weekends as needed

 COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:  Pay range: Fabrication Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $29.75/hour
 Fabrication Technician/Level 2: $28.50 - $35.75/hour
 Fabrication Technician/Level 3: $34.00 - $41.75/hour
 
 Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
