Job Title: Scheduling Representative - Radiology
Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Scheduling Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments for outpatient testing, procedures, and exams, with a focus on radiology services. You'll play a key part in ensuring a smooth patient experience by verifying insurance eligibility, updating patient records, and confirming medical necessity for Medicare procedures. You will collaborate closely with insurance verification teams to secure authorizations and maintain accurate documentation. A strong understanding of insurance processes and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients regarding copayments, prepayments, and outstanding balances is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Schedule patient appointments for radiology and other outpatient services using EPIC. * Verify insurance eligibility and update patient records accordingly. * Evaluate medical necessity for Medicare patients and ensure compliance. * Coordinate with insurance verifiers to obtain authorizations for scheduled services. * Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibilities in a compassionate and professional manner. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in patient accounts. Required Skills: * Proficiency in EPIC (Radiology Scheduling preferred) * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Experience in medical scheduling, preferably in a radiology setting Top Skills: * EPIC * Medical Scheduling Additional Qualifications: * Prior experience in radiology scheduling is highly desirable. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience Level: * Entry Level - Ideal for candidates with foundational experience in medical scheduling and a desire to grow within a healthcare setting. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
