*Pharmacy Technician - Prior Authorization Support*
*Start Date:* October 1 *Location: 100% Remote* *Schedule:* Flexible availability between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST, evening and weekend shifts *Compensation:* * $21/hour * $22-$23/hour for candidates with administrative pharmacy technician experience *Contract Type:* Long-term contract with potential for hire *Certification Requirement:* CPhT *Client:* Develop Health (new contract secured) *Role Overview:* Pharmacy Technicians will operate within the UMS platform and client-designated PBM and payer portals to manage pharmacy review requests. This includes benefit verification, prior authorization submission and triage, prescription transfers, and responding to PBM-related inquiries. *Key Responsibilities:* * Intake and review pharmacy requests * Submit and manage prior authorizations through payer portals * Triage determinations and facilitate prescription transfers * Conduct 40-50 outbound calls one day per week to gather clinical criteria and respond to pharmacist inquiries * Review and verify drug information to ensure accuracy before submission * Process incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring completeness and compliance * Approve cases based on established clinical guidelines *Ideal Candidate Profile:* * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Experience with administrative pharmacy technician duties * Comfortable working independently and handling high-volume communication * Familiarity with PBM platforms and prior authorization workflows *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
