Senior Associate, Investments – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Eldridge Capital Management Services LLC) – Conduct capital structure analysis and financial modeling. Conduct quarterly valuation reviews. Research opportunistic corporate credit, structured credit, growth equity, and other structured equity opportunities. Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs. Perform risk management analysis by evaluating data and reports on Eldridge’s exposure to a range of loan assets through its investments in structured financial products. Conduct valuation analysis based on multiple financial valuation methodologies. Prepare investment memoranda on new opportunities and present them to the investment committee. Assist portfolio companies with various initiatives including assessing strategic opportunities, conducting market analysis, and optimizing operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: analyzing financial statements and key credit metrics (i.e. free cash flow and leverage) to determine the state of a company's financial health and capital structure sustainability; conducting desktop research and subject matter expert interviews to identify and compare relevant competitive companies; applying statistical analysis to synthesize publicly available data and examine cyclicality of a target industry; consolidating quantitative and qualitative information related to a target opportunity into a concise memo for the firm's investment committee review; assessing on a quarterly basis the growth trend and financial health of portfolio companies; recommending to the Investment Committee whether to buy/hold/sell an existing investment position; analyzing credit agreement amendment proposals made by portfolio companies; using Bloomberg Terminal, Excel, and PowerPoint; projecting returns on convertible debt/preferred equity investments under different assumptions for the target company’s future performance; investing in both public/broadly syndicated loan (more standardized process led by an investment bank) and private credit (directly originated via a private equity sponsor or a company itself) opportunities; and conducting recovery analysis for debt investments in a restructuring or bankruptcy context.
