Director, Investments – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Eldridge Capital Management Services LLC) – Perform capital structure and valuation analysis, financial modeling, and company and industry research. Develop methods to understand and analyze relative value across liquid and private credit, structured products, and equity investments. Track bankruptcy proceedings, legal filings, and restructuring updates to assess recovery prospects and inform investment decisions. Conduct quarterly valuation reviews. Monitor domestic and international macroeconomic indicators/trends across equity, credit, and structured product markets. Assist portfolio companies with various initiatives including assessing strategic opportunities, conducting market analysis, and optimizing operations. Interact with management teams, advisors, and other constituents in the deal process. Prepare investment memoranda on new opportunities and present them to the investment committee. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: performing financial modeling in Excel; using credit-oriented methodologies such as downside analysis, cash flow projections, and recovery models to assess debt capacity and potential creditor recoveries; capital structure analysis through assessing leverage, priority of claims, and refinancing or recapitalization possibilities and strategies; using corporate valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transactions; using credit analysis-specific valuation approaches such as liquidation value and replacement cost analysis; managing portfolio credits through tracking financial performance, monitoring covenant compliance, and engaging in amendment or waiver processes; supporting equity portfolio companies in evaluating inorganic growth opportunities, divestitures, and recapitalizations through financial modeling, valuation, and synergy analysis; using tools such as Bloomberg Terminal, Pitchbook, and S&P Capital IQ to access and analyze relevant statistics including real-time runs, yields, spreads, forward curve, CDS prices, and analyst consensus; building capitalization tables and waterfall models for growth equity investments; and assessing companies’ business model, revenue quality, and cost structure to identify drivers of financial performance.
