We Require
One year of nursing experience Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a valid, unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing

Assists in the opening and closing of clinical operations for both fixed immunization clinics and community-based events, including the appropriate storage and handling of all vaccines Screens and administers immunizations to children in a high-volume setting Delivers professional and courteous customer service to all individuals Maintains clear and accurate documentation of activities through nurses' notes, reporting forms, consent forms, and computer databases Provides proof of administered vaccines and education to clients
Working Conditions
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, and requires walking and standing to a significant degree Reliable transportation is required to travel to other locations if coverage is needed Valid Arizona driver's license is required upon hire Certification in Basic Life Support and CPR is required upon hire Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete and pass a background check Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
